It’s now my favorite monolingual dictionary and I wanted to write this post to share how awesome it is. I’ve been struggling for the past 6 months with trying to do the "Monolingual transition" of reading japanese-japanese (J-J) definitions over japenese-english (J-E) definitions.ģ weeks ago, shoui (who started learnjapanese.moe and TheMoeWay) released a digitalized version of the latest 旺文社国語辞典 (Oubunsha Kokugo Jiten) and I’ve been using it as my primary J-J dictionary ever since. I’ve been learning Japanese for a little over 15 months now and I’m at the point in my japanese study where sometimes english definitions aren’t good enough to grasp the nuance and usage of words. Not doing so falls under 'Low effort' (see rule 6). Check to see if your question has been addressed before posting by searching or reading the wiki.
